BENEFITS OF ITD?

  • Responsibility
    Singular Responsibility

With both design and construction in the hands of a single entity, Vision is your single point of responsibility for quality, cost and schedule adherence. Our ITD team is responsible for quality, budget and schedule, as well as performance of the completed facility. Under the ITD® methodology, Vision takes responsibility for any issues requiring resolution between design and construction.

  • Quality
    Improved Quality

Traditional design-bid-build too often relies upon restrictive contract language, adversarial audit and inspection, and, ultimately, the legal system to ensure project quality. In the ITD® methodology, Vision is solely responsible for your completed product. This accountability drives outcome-focused quality throughout the entire process. Our ITD® methodology ensures quality from the initial consultation.

  • Cost Savings
    Cost Savings

Our ITD® Team (engineering and construction personnel) collaboratively evaluates value-engineering designs, materials and methods efficiently and accurately. Value engineering and constructability are utilized continuously and more effectively when the engineers, contractors and vendors work as one during the entire design and construction process.

  • Time
    Time Savings

Because design and construction are overlapped (and because bidding periods and redesigns are eliminated), total design and construction time can be significantly reduced. Design-build is ideal for the application of “fast track” construction techniques without associated risks to the owner. Material and equipment procurement as well as construction work can begin before construction documents are fully completed. The resulting time savings translates into lower costs and earlier occupancy of the completed facility. Earlier occupancy equals faster time to revenue and happier tenants.

  • ROI
    Enhanced ROI

Change Orders can run as high as 35% of the project value. With Design-Build, one PM manages multiple scopes. It also encourages transparency in pricing, allows more effective channel and manufacturer management, and enhances collaboration with GC and trades.

Our approach & benefits

Combining the best program and project management practices with PMI-certified project managers, Vision’s PMO delivers a solution with performance transparency provided throughout.

Dedicated project managers establish customer expectations, while completing projects on-time, on-budget, and in compliance with both industry specifications and customer requirements.

Enhancing visibility and performance tracking, we utilize a collaborative environment with 24/7 web-access availability for both Vision and the customer, thus, providing a centralized approach to project knowledge management.
