Vision Technologies Manages Communication Networks for Fifth Largest School District in the U.S.

Vision Technologies, Inc., a leading IT Services provider and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business, has been working on a large, multi-year IT Network Engineering and Network Support contract with the Clark County School District (CCSD) located in Nevada. CCSD is the fifth largest school district in the United States. It serves all of Clark County, including the cities of Las Vegas, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Mesquite. In addition, it also serves communities, such as Laughlin, Blue Diamond, Logandale, Bunkerville, Goodsprings, Indian Springs, Mount Charleston, Moapa, Searchlight, and Sandy Valley. 

Vision Technologies is supporting CCSD's Networking Services Department of the Technology and Information System Services Division to operate and maintain the District’s internal data communication networks in all District’s operated facilities throughout Clark County, Nevada. The District encompasses 357 public K-12 schools, and approximately 20 administrative locations within Clark County, Nevada. CCSD has over 315,000 students and 36,000 administrative and facility members.

Vision is managing the network architecture, network engineering, and network repair for all Wired and Wireless LANs/WANs. The WAN/LAN network supports data, video, and voice communication. This also includes the support of Wi-Fi systems. The school district needed a partner that had multi-vendor technology experience.  Vision demonstrated their expertise in working with Foundry, Brocade, Extreme Networks, Transition Networks, Motorola, Meru, and Cisco Systems.
