Implementing a Security System Upgrade for Oriole Park at Camden Yards

Because of the critical need for public security, the Maryland Stadium Authority needed to update its security environment. They called on Vision Technologies. As a demonstration of Vision’s security capabilities, we designed and installed a comprehensive security system upgrade for the Camden Yards, home of the Baltimore Orioles in Baltimore, MD. Camden Yards is a professional sport complex that has a seating capacity of 45,971. 

Security solutions in facilities that involve large public participation, require maximum performance from its components and its integrators.  Vision was uniquely positioned to deliver both at Camden Yards.  This project expanded the current CCTV system by adding 110 Pelco IP cameras and integrating them with the existing infrastructure for a total of 130 cameras at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and a total of 125 cameras at M&T Bank Stadium. Vision also installed a new ExacqVision VMS.

In addition, the system design was carefully tailored to meet the system operational requirements, including the ability to expand the system to incorporate additional future cameras as needed. These deployments give Camden Yards a state-of-the-art video surveillance platform designed from the ground up to view, store and manage security-related video.
