Implementing AV Systems for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Model Ports Project

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol wanted to implement a messaging system that would be both more welcoming for airline travelers entering the U.S., and more efficient to run and manage. Vision Technologies, as a subcontractor to EES, was selected to implement AV and signage as part of the model of this new port-of-entry solution. VIsion’s unique ability to integrate security, structured cabling, wireless, audio-visual and professional services enabled CBP and the primary contractor to streamline the acquisition and deployment process.  Thus, delivering better capabilities more efficiently.

Each airport implementation included monitors, video players, speakers, network interface cables and power systems in a closed rack. This system was deployed at the 20 highest volume international airports across the Continental United States and Hawaii.

Post installation, Vision provided trained seminars for local staff on the use of the equipment. Vision provided proactive and reactive maintenance on the installed equipment, unlimited phone support and emergency response in the event of equipment failure.
